Stages of Stamping Fine Art Gallery
Many variations using Fine Art Gallery.

This was a fun post to create for. I know there are many new stampers out there and joining me on this web page. I am excited you are here and I am excited you are curious about Stampin Up. Not sure where to start this post is perfect for you. This set is the Floral Art Gallery and a perfect set for the beginning stamper or the full fledged stamper and a staple in my stamp collection. This set is a great one to start with because as you can see above there are great greetings in this set so it features many occasions. The flower is a 2 stamp image. These are fun, first stamp the background or the lighter ink then go back over it with the accent stamp or the darker color. Much easier to stamp in reverse and with the clear blocks you can see exactly where you want it to land. I used the indent at the base of the flower to line up the second layer. Below I will feature each card and the simple variations to change the card up so you can see how easy it is to create and continue to build you cards. Stamping is a collection that grows over time but basic staples are used over and over!

The first card is perfect for the beginner- just the flower stamped in Bumble Bee and Mango Melody. Stem in Granny Apple Green. I will put card sizes below. Stamp greeting in Memento Black ink. Assemble and done. Look how classic and simple!

Same card as above but stamped flower in Rococo Rose Melon Mambo and added Gold Gilded Gems for some bling. These are my favorite embellishment. Already sticky just use your take your pick tool and place them on the card where you want them to land. Simple and another fun card. I did pop up the Basic Black off the card with Stampin Dimensionals for some depth to the card.

Same card again but this one I stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, then I embossed the stamped piece with the Cut and Emboss machine and added the Gilded Gems again along with a tied bow attached with a mini glue dot. This Basic Black piece is also popped up with dimensionals. I love adding texture to cards and this is my go to embossing folder. Embossing is layering cardstock in a folder and running it through the emboss machine. Super easy to do and many fun folders to emboss paper with (give the texture feel and look). Texture is fun!

Taking it up another notch- This one is stamped in Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight ink again embossed after stamping. Then I used a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock and die cut the rectangular shape from the matching die cuts available then stamped the image on the die cut. You can purchase just the stamp set, just the die cuts or as a bundle and save 10%. I used the dimensionals again and added a double tied white bakers twine bow attached to the card with a mini glue dot. Look how fun each of these cards are and the simple variations change up the card. I thought this was a fun way to show how to start simple and move forward adding a simple embellishment, then embossing folders for texture and then adding die cuts. Even just using the dimensionals to add depth to the card makes a fun difference. This is a simple stamp set to use and a great way to start your stamping journey. There is beautiful designer series paper you can get to coordinate but that is another journey, start simple, basic white, basic black cardstock, memento black in (another staple in stamping) and one of the color combos or any to light and dark colors of ink you choose. Granny Apple Green ink for the stem and you are ready to create. I love our paper trimmer and if you don’t have one this is a basic staple in your crafting journey. Very easy to use. One blade is for scoring your card to make the folds and the other is for cutting the paper.

Close up of the texture from the Subtle embossing folder.

I used Basic White thick card stock for the card base. Cut a 4 1/4″ x 11 or sheet in half. Next score at 5 1/2″ and crease and fold on scored mark with your bone folder to insure a sharp crease. Cut with trimmer a Basic Black 3 1/4″ x 5″. Next cut a basic white 3″ x 4 3/4″. Stamp your flower first background in lighter color then darker over the top. Next, stamp stem and then greeting of choice in Memento Black ink. Adhere layers together with Stampin Seal, (I like to use the plus version). Then place stamped layer on card with Stampin Seal plus or dimensionals. The choice of finish is yours look at the simple variations on this card!
