So much to celebrate today, first we are done with harvest! That is a good thing as meals on wheels was getting a bit tired! They still have dirt work to do but the harvest is in and we got to enjoy part of a day of rest finally! Today also was my dad’s 81st birthday and that was also a cause for celebration. It is a big day for him as 3 years ago we were not given a good diagnosis and each day we have gotten has been a true gift. We enjoyed some time with him this afternoon and some wonderful pie and the evening was capped with a meal in our home again and not the field. We also got the yard picked up and lawn items away for the looming winter to move in. I love fall but it is winding down and with this wind we will be raking and raking to get all the leaves picked up! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend and found time for something fun.
This card was another quick fun card to create. I love the He’s the Man suite of products. Masculine cards can be a struggle and this set is wonderful! The designer series paper is beautiful in 12×12 two-sided prints and even comes with die cuts so perfect for scrapbooking too! The colors of the card give it a rustic and also an autumn feel. I love the detail of the bottle cap die cut and then of course those stitched stylish die cut shapes that I tend to use on every card I make! You could say I am a bit obsessed with them!
This is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ Crumb Cake cardstock scored with bone folder at 5 1/2″ then cut with trimmer a Basic Black 4 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ and a DSP Black Diamond Ck to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Layer this on the Basic Black and wrap Linen Thread around these and tie in a knot. I wrapped the thread twice and knotted. Trim ends with Paper Snips. Next cut a 2″ x 4″ dark plaid DSP and trim ends with paper snips to make a banner. (hint slightly fold paper in half at one end then cut from each corner to center to make a banner.) Next, adhere that to the card front. Die cut the cards using the Stitched Stylish Shaped Square and die cut a crumb cake bottle cap. Stamp the image with Early Expresso Ink. Die cut a banner in Cajun Craze. Place the square on the card front with Stampin Dimensinals. Next adhere the die cut banner to the side with your Stampin Seal Plus and then place the stamped bottle cap on the card front with Stampin Dimensinals. I placed Stampin Dimensionals on the DSP layered on the Basic Black and popped the decorated images up on the Crumb Cake card front. Place the Adhesive backed Rustic Gems on the bottlecap using your Take Your Pick Tool. Stamp a greeting on the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Very Vanilla and add a strip of DSP cut 4″ x 1/2″.
This card was a quick card while the burgers for the field were on the grill! Trust me you can find time to stamp! Hand made cards are always a must and no matter how busy my rule is have to be handmade! The more you stamp the easier gets! This is a great set to create with and so fun to create with too! If you are in a super hurry just use the die cuts in the DSP pack and there is no stamping needed! There are so many fun ways to create paper projects with Stampin Up whether you are a novice stamper, a beginner or anywhere in between Stampin Up is the perfect companion! I love the products and I love to create! So many celebrations in life to celebrate and so many cards are always needed! Handmade and from the heart!
