I am not ready to put the fall stamps away but the ground is white in Iowa and the trees are up in our home so I guess it is time for the holidays to begin! I love the holidays but they are so busy! I am sure you are wondering if I am still alive! The answer is yes, we have our oldest son get married 2 weeks ago, followed by some traveling for work and then exhaustion set in and a bad sinus infection so I have been laying a bit low around here. This has not been my year! Our youngest son is getting married in 6 mos. now to so bear with me and yes, this is the last child to get married! There is just no rest in our home these days!
This was such a fun card to create and super simple! The mittens seemed fitting since we have all been running around trying to find our snow gear with all the fun white stuff we have in Iowa! It seems to early for this! I love using the Snowflake 12×12 Vellum DSP. It is just stunning! This card is so simple. I choose the Evening Evergreen and paired it with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Snowflakes. This is the first time I have used the Celebration Bundle featuring fun tags and a stamp set and I will be creating more with it! This bundle is super cute! The mittens and snowflakes are from the bundle along with the label! I used my favorite Stylish Shapes for the stitched circle die cut. I just love those die cuts! The linen thread and the rustic gems give it a country feel.
I choose Evening Evergreen 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″ and creased with your bone folder. Next cut a crumb cake to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and a Snowflake DSP to 5″ x 3 3/4″. Layer the Crumb Cake on the card front. Next add the Snowflake DSP and adhere to the Crumb Cake using adhesive ( stampin Seal Plus) under where the circle will be on the card front. Die cut out the snowflakes in Soft Suede and the Sytlish Circle in Basic White using the largest circle. Next stamp the mittens on Basic White using Real Red ink. Die cut out the mittens. Stamp the Be Jolly in Evening Evergreen and die cut that out with the Celebrations label die.
Glue the snowflakes to the circle. Next, add dimensionals to the mittens and place on the circle over the snowflakes. Next, add the stamped label with Dimensionals. Place the Rustic gems around the card using your Take Your Pick Tool and then double tie a linen thread bow and place on the mitten button using a mini glue dot.
Add a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White card stock to inside of your card and stamp with a verse of choice!
This card was fun to make and I know this bundle is a super fun bundle to create with if you are looking for all occasion stamp bundle! I hope you find time to stamp and create some handmade and from the heart gifts, tags and cards this holiday season! They are the best gifts of all!
