This cards just screams fall, colors, leaves, flannel and more. I needed to get some customer Thank You cards done. I just love how this one turned out. This Cheers to the Season Stamp set is a fun set. Perfect for holiday cards! Plaid is the rage this year and I love the DSP (designer series papers from Stampin Up). This DSP is from the Them Bones pack. I love putting elements and texture on cards. The grunge look pulls that all together from the DSP. This is a fun, fast card to create! I used a stampin blend to splatter some ink on the deckled circle, that didn’t come through well in this photo.
The circle is die cut with the new Deckled Circles. The die cut is cut in Very Vanilla. I inked the leave up first in Pumpkin Pie and then using sponge daubers inked the leave in area with the Cajun Craze in and then the bottom edges in the Early Expresso. I then took a Dark Crumb Cake stampin Blend and taped the thick end with cap using a flicking motion to add some grunge look on the deckled circle too. Just splatter some ink. You could even add some Mango Melody and Mossy Meadow for the colors of fall. I choose my 3 used to compliment the plaid. Standard card base 8 1/2x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4″ with a bone folder. Cut a 2 1/2″ strip by 5 1/2″ strip of the DSP and adhere to the front of the card with Stampin Seal. I like to use the Stampin Seal Plus. Then place the stamped die cut image on the card front using Stampin Dimensionals. Add a double strand of linen thread tied in a bow with a mini glue dot. Next, using your take your pick tool place the gold embellishments on the card front.
I like to add some DSP to the inside of the card and the envelope flap to keep the theme complete. I tool a 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strip and adhered it to the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of very vanilla cardstock and adhered that inside the card. Then use adhesive and stick DSP the the envelope flap. You can trim around using your paper snips or you can trim a straight edge using your paper trimmer. I think straight is good with the plaid.
