Oh how time flies, here are a couple simple and quick masculine birthday cards tonight. Tuesday, is Dillon’s birthday. How can I have a 28 year old already? Time flies and I can’t believe he is 28. In true fashion, we are in the middle of yet another winter storm. It seems every year we get a storm or blizzard for his birthday so why would this year be any different? He recently moved back to town for his job and we will actually get to enjoy seeing him on his birthday this year. I needed a quick card tonight. These cards are quick and fun. I used the Well Suited Designer Paper along with the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. I love the colors in this card. I made a couple of versions as I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. You guys will have to place your vote in the comments below. This card I also used my you know favorite dies the Stitched So Sweetly die cuts. They are my all time standard go to die cut set. I did emboss the 1″ strip with the Subtle 3D embossing folder for a bit of texture and wrapped the bakers twine around the card 3 times and tied in a simple bow. Super quick!
If you don’t have the Happiest of Birthdays Set, I encourage you to add that one to your shipping list! It is a great birthday set to use. Classic and simple, perfect for birthday cards we always are in need of!
This is version 2, I really like this one too. I used the Stitched Rectangles die cut and popped up off the card using the Stampin Dimensionals. Both card bases are 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. DSP cut 4″ x 5 1/4″ and Basic Black cut 1/8″ larger. Layer using Stampin Seal. I like to use the Stampin Seal plus but both are great! Use you Take Your Pick Tool to place the dots around the card and a mini glue dot for adhering the bow to the card. I love to coordinate the DSP from the card on the envelope flap using my Stampin Seal Plus and my Paper Snips to trim around the flap.
The benefit of making two is I know have one to spare. A tip I like to share is never make just one card. Your card base is a standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ and that in standard card size makes 2 cards. So, rather than just make on for the card you need make 2 and you will have an extra ready to use. That is a great way to build your card supply for those days when you need a card but just no time!

Both are nice “manly” cards which I find harder to make. I vote for version #2.
Thank you, leaning towards this one too!
Wow! Both are amazing. I vote version #1! Hard to believe Dillion is 28!!
I know I am feeling old today. Both cards are fun, thanks for the comment.
I love the design paper! Very masculine, I vote #1.
Yes, it is great masculine paper! Great colors, too! Thank you for your vote.
