Can you feel the love in this fun little card? I also make baby cards for a local baby boutique. It is fun to create cards to share with others and to sell a few too. Baby cards need to be soft and sweet for that new little one especially if it is the first born. You can also make fun money selling your crafted cards. People love hand made cards and some just prefer to buy them and not create them. Me, I can’t imagine not creating them and that is why I love what I do.

Sorry for the overload on Abstract Beauty DSP (designer series paper) but it is so amazing to create with. This just happened as I was trying to create something else and my eyes kept going back to this beautiful paper! The gold metallic in the paper is perfect to add that hint of elegance! I can’t tell you how fun this paper is till you create with it! All of it is 2 sided with one side having metallic features and the other a subtle DSP to coordinate. The paper pack is a fun new size for Stampin Up and I really love to work with it! The paper is cut to 4″ x 6″. The perfect size for card fronts and a strip for the inside too! Yes, I have gone a bit over the top in the posts lately using this paper, sorry but it is so darn pretty! You will love it and I encourage you to create with it too!
I am also in love with the Brushed Brass Butterflies! They have adhesive on the back and they are so fun to place around you card. I think these compliment the metallic in the DSP.
I love the rule of 3 when making a card. My three on this card is the die cuts, ribbon and butterflies (note I used 3 butterflies also). Odd numbers seem to work well in design.
Remember this DSP is 4″ x 6″ so when I cut my DSP to 3 3/4″ x 5″ I had a strip of DSP left and it was added to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White adhered to the inside of the card with my Stampin Seal Plus. I love to add cardstock inside my card and also a strip of the DSP from the card front!

Directions:

Basic White thick Cardstock cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score with bone folder a 4 1/4″, Cut Just Jade cardstock to 4″ x 51/4″ and DSP to 3 3/4″ x 5″. Cut a Basic White for inside card to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere inside card. Stick the strip of DSP to the bottom edge of the piece mounted inside.

Layer and adhere the Just Jade with the cut DSP using Stampin Seal Plus.

Die cut a Stitched Rectangle and a small label from the Stitched So Sweetly dies and also a small pink heart. Stamp the bunny in Basic Grey and also the Hello Little One. Add the heart with a mini glue dot or I used Stampin Seal plus, to the corner of the stamped rectangle.

Use dimensionals to place on the back of the Stitched Stamped Rectangle and then place at an angle on the layered Just Jade/DSP, Wrap the white ribbon around this layered piece and tie in a bow trimming ends with your Paper Snips. Adhere the small stamped label to the bottom edge with your Stampin Seal Plus. Use Stampin Dimensionals on the layered Just Jade piece to place on the card front. (I used 6-8 on the back) I also love to add DSP to the back of my envelope flaps.

Place your Brushed Brass Butterflies on the card front with the Take Your Pick Tool. Done and enjoy!

Reminder the mini cut emboss machine and several bundles are 20% off till the end or March! I love this little guy! He sits at my side while crafting. Cuts like butter and perfect to emboss with our smaller folders! The project above could be created with the mini machine!
