May Paper Pumpkin Alternative Projects featured from the May Paper Pumpkin kit for May 2022. This kit was a super fun one again and I will have to say not what I was expecting but that is part of the fun of creating with Paper Pumpkin kits. Of course they come with directions but then why would I want to read those? Don’t get me wrong, the directions are great I just choose to think outside of the box and have fun. I love to challenge myself to see how many fun cards and projects I can come up with. I adapt the kit to the cards I tend to use a lot or the cards I like to have one hand when I need them. I encourage you to think out side of the box and see what you can create! These kits are full of fun, supplies, stamp set, ink spot and full color instructions! Great for the beginning stamper or fun for the avid stamper! Perfect to grab and go if you wish to create on the go too! They come complete with supplies in the box delivered to your mail box to create the projects in the kit. I love to add cardstock and use other items from my supplies in creating my alternatives. It is also a great way for me to feature some of the other amazing and fun Stampin Up products we have to offer.
Each month I create my Alternative projects and I create a video or 2 this month as one stopped midway through. I swear technology hates me most days! (or nights when I tend to create late at night, that may be part of the issue) I then also send full color instructions, a few more supplies to make a few more fun cards and projects and a fun treat or 2 for my Paper Pumpkin Subscribers. My first alternative features the Shaded Summer bundle and the new embossed treat bags. These are so fun to create with and fun to add gifts inside. I added a gift card holder to the front to add a gift card or note inside. The Just for you label is stamped on and the label is from the kit.I had so much fun with the Sunny Splash set, I have been dying to create with this fun set and this kit was perfect to create with. I love the bright fun colors and are these fun suits not the cutest? Stamp them on the paper or fussy cut them out. Take the edges off the card holders and they turned into a beach towel. The In Color 2022-2024 Bakers Twine was also perfect to add to this kit!Basic Black added to the kit, always fun to frame your cards with Basic Black or Basic White and I popped the sayings up with Dimensionals. I love to have layers of dimension on my cards.This card base was a challenge at first then I took a post it note and covered up the s from Biggest Wish and stamped Thank on the card base add the Sweet Songbird from the Sweetest Songbird Bundle and I love this one! The second one features the Sweetest Cheery Stamp set and a heart punch from the Heart Bundle featuring the In Color Glimmer Paper. Both cards are so fun and simple to create!More Basic Black, bakers twine, Black Mat Dots and super simple cards to create. I used our gold foil sheets and the Painted Labels die cut for the bottom card. The gold embossing from the card fronts makes for stunning cards. These can be great masculine cards! I did sponge the back of a circle from the kit with the Orchid Oasis ink on the stamped circle.Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide are fun combinations of color! I love how bright they are. I spaced them evenly on a 5″ x 3 3/4″ base then mounted on a 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then added to card front. Dimensionals add fun to these cards!More bright fun from the kit. Colored in the Happy with our Stampin Blends! Wrapped all in Bakers Twine too!I decided to add the gift card holders to the front of the cards instead. Then you have a full inside card to write a note on. Check out the fun Resin Flower on the swim suit. These were so simple to make and I love how they turned out. These 4 cards would make such a fun gift set to give as a gift too! Cards are always great gifts and always needed too! Check out those fun Deckle Rectangles Die Cuts in the Wee card!Close up of the flower on the swim suit. I love the fun set! Note Tearing Tape was included in the kit and that is how the holders were attached to the card fronts.Inside the card! The you is from the kit! Use the stamps to create! I like to add a 4″ x 5 1/4″ to the inside of my cards to create a thick rich card. I also love to add a strip of 4″ x 1/2″ to the bottom to bring the outside of the card in! They need to be pretty inside too right?Another inside stamped.The little piggy set is another just darn cute stamp set!I also love to cut apart the envelopes for more fun DSP (designer series paper). Take your trimmer and slice the edges slightly off at the sides and open up. I then cut the center to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ framed in the Sweet Sorbet 1/8″ out. Stamp Happy. I added a die cut circle from the Stylish Shapes die cuts and stamped in Sweet Sorbet birthday stamped from Biggest Wish. Double the 2 colors of Bakers Twine and secured them with a mini glue dot! Pop with a dimensional and add some In Color Mat gems. I used a marker to splatter some ink on the circle for a grunge look.I love to create fun Happy Mail and this Sweet Cherry Set had me thinking! I think this is the cutest Happy Mail, sure to bring smiles! This DSP is from the Design a Day Dream Pack and the large die cut is from the Scalloped Contour Dies. Treats are to fun to create with Stampin Up products. This was not from the kit just thought I would share with you!Pick of the Crop is the June Paper Pumpkin Kit and it looks another super fun kit with a fun summer theme! Those colors look amazing and they scream summer! Can’t wait to think outside of this box. Yes, I am already thinking and can’t wait for it to arrive!
