Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I am so thankful to have you as team members, blog followers, customers and friends. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday filled with love and happiness and beautiful memories. I will be cooking a turkey for those in our family that can make it this year. Children in the medical field makes holidays a bit more challenging but we will celebrate with those that can make it and meet with the working ones when we get a chance. Cooking a turkey is over rated in my book but we will have all the normal traditions for the season. It will be nice to be home for the day and hopefully I will disappear later in the day to stamp or sew a bit of the day away or drop from exhaustion!

I love the stamp set and the minute I saw it in the catalog I knew it was one that would be a true classic. I love the details in this set but then I love the detail in all our Stampin Up stamp sets. Our youngest one is an avid hunter and loves to hunt pheasants. This is a perfect set for fall or those hunters in your life! It is fun to send Thanksgiving Wishes off to family members near and far. Cards can brighten a gloomy day so be sure to stamp and send a smile. This set is a true classic stamp set.

Close up of the detail in the stamp set. I choose to use the Deckled Rectangles for a bit of a rustic feel. I also added Linen Thread to the card for the fall field look. I used sponge duabers for the color on the pheasant. Perfect way to put the ink just where you want it to be.
Not sure why I angled the front it could go straight or at an angle. Which way do you prefer?

This card is a Soft Suede card base with Mossy Meadow cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then the DSP- (Rustic Harvest) cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″ and a Basic White Deckeled Rectangle. Ink the image with the sponge daubers in Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze ink. Stamp the greenery in the background in Mossy Meadow and the greeting is stamped in Early Expresso ink. Wrap the rectangle in linen thread twice and knot off. Pop the stamped rectangle up with dimensionals on the layered card front.

Another fun card with the set is super simple. I used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede card base with the Time Worn 3D embossing folder. Stamp the Pheasant first in Soft Suede and then emboss the Very Vanilla. Paper Cuts are the same as the card above. I die cut a Stylish Circle (yes I use this die cut set all the time-it is one of my favorites!) and stamp the greeting in Soft Suede ink too. This card would make a great card gift set of note cards! Just a perfect card to write a note on and drop in the mail!

Holiday gift idea create a set of notecards and gift them in a set of 4 or more to people on your gift list! They will love to get handmade cards and it is a super easy gift to make. Handmade gifts are from the heart and so much fun to create and give! So many fun ways to make gift sets too. I love to put cards in a basket, add a nice pen some stamps and of course a sweet treat and a perfect gift I get to many compliments on every year. I also fill them with seasonal cards, thinking of you and birthday cards. This is a super fun gift idea for people on your list or a great way to gift cards if you have a supply of cards on hand.
This is just a classic note card and super quick to create!
Close up of the texture from the 3D embossing folder. I love the texture and the rustic feel it gives the card front.
Don’t forget to add a piece of cardstock-Very Vanilla used here 5 1/4″x 4″ to the inside of you card and add a fun stamp form the set for added fun. Note cards I choose to leave empty inside so they can write the note they need to include. Note cards -create 4 and you have a perfect gift to give!
