I love how this sympathy card turned out today. I needed a quick sympathy card and I wanted it to feature winter. This Designer Series Paper was perfect and paired with the brushed metallic cardstock and linen thread gave it a perfect winter look. The die cuts are from of course my favorite set, Stitched So Sweetly. I sound like a broken record on that, but I tend to use them on almost all my cards! They are just perfect for adding a stamped sentiment too. I layered the die cuts for the bottom two from this set and added the circle cut in Very Vanilla card stock from the Layered Circles set. I stamped the sentiment and sponged the edges of the circle with Soft Suede ink. Linen thread wrapped three times around the card and tied in a bow. Gold Gilded Gems are added to look like they are securing the die cut down. The die cut is popped off the card using the Stampin Dimensionals. The Peaceful Moments stamp set is a must if you are a beginner stamper. The sayings are just perfect for so many occasions and also used quite a bit on my cards. I recommend adding them to your collection soon!
Be sure to stamp inside the card too. I added DSP cut 5 1/4″ x 4″ then a Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5″ x 3 3/4″ with the greeting stamped in Soft Suede. I also sponged the Very Vanilla in the Soft Suede ink to match the front of the card. Love the rustic feel of this card.
Don’t forget the envelope flap to finish off your card. Just take DSP of your choice and adhere to the flap using your Stampin Seal, using your paper snips trim around the flap.
