Quiet Meadow Thinking of You

Quick sympathy card needed for a dear friends mom tonight. They said she loved life to the fullest and everyone was to wear red to the funeral so I knew the card needed to feature red. I wanted to tone it down to came up with a quick, simple card in black and white but popped in the red. I featured the Quiet Meadow bundle on this card. I am pleased with how it turned out. I love to use our black glitter ribbon and I think it works out perfectly on this project. Hugs tonight to Mike, Denise and Nolan on the loss of their mom and grandmother. I love to stamp and create cards and also to have the ability to come home from work and find out I need a card and no time for a store run. That is a rule in our home no bought cards! This one is quick on to create and have on hand. You can change the color of the flowers by changing the blender color. I just wanted to match the requests of the family and this card seemed fitting.

I love the detail in the Scalloped Contour Die Cuts. The larger scallop edge is cut from this die cut set. The tag is cut with the min cut emboss machine. The one that is 20% off this month!

I added Wink of Stella to the flowers colored with the Real Red blender pens and the stems are blended with Shaded Spruce blenders. I love to add Wink of Stella to a card for a touch of sparkle.

Cutting- Cut a thick Basic White card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″ . Die cut a label and the scalloped die cut in Basic White cardstock. Cut a piece of the All Together DSP to 4″ x 5 1/4″ with your trimmer. Stamp your images with Memento Black ink. Color the images with Stampin Blends. Using Stampin Seal plus adhere the DSP to the folded card front. Wrap a piece of the Black Glitter Ribbon through the scallops of the die cut and knot on the side. Snip ends of ribbon with paper snips. Place the label on Dimensionals and stick over the ribbon on the scalloped die cut. Next, using dimensionals place them one the back of the scalloped die cut and place them down on the DSP mounted to the card front.

I love to add DSP inside my cards. I stamped the greeting in Memento Black ink then I stamped the dots in Real Red ink stamped off on scrap paper then stamped over the greeting. I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White thin shape to the inside of the card. This is what I stamped the images on and added a 4″ x 1/2″ strip to the bottom.
