My heart melts when my kids call to say, “Do you have any wedding cards?” Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper and Elegantly Said stamp set to the rescue. Not bad for creating at 1:30am when most are sleeping! I love the way this turned out. The grey and black tones paired with the Very Vanilla and then add in the gold from the Simply Elegant trim. I hope they like it and I need to get more wedding cards going as this looks to be another busy wedding season in our home with one this year and one coming next year! I love weddings and I love to pair my card with the invite to meet the theme of the wedding. Yes, just a bit crazy but when you love to stamp and create, you gotta match. I do love the elegance of this card and it would also make a great anniversary card too. I love the saying on the card front of the card too!
Directions card 1- Basic Grey Cardstock cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″. Cut a Simple Elegant grey DSP to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the a basic black mat 1/8″ larger than DSP. Die cut a Scalloped Contour Label out of the leaf printed DSP with the Cut Emboss Machine and also die the the Tasteful Label in Very Vanilla. Stamp the label in Basic Grey ink. Layer the DSP on the Basic Black and adhere to the folded card front using Stampin Seal Plus. Next, add Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the scalloped rectangle and pop off the card front. Take your Stampin Seal plus and lay down a line of tape to weave the gold trim and stick the middles to the adhesive to hold in place. Just play with them till you find the look you like. Trim ends with Paper Snips. Then pop the label over the middle of the cord using more dimensionals. Add a Very Vanilla 5 1/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla mat inside with your stamped verse and a strip of DSP for the top card I used a 5 1/4″ x 1/2″ added to to the bottom of the mat.
Card 2 (lower card)
Basic Black Cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″ crease with bone folder at score mark. Cut a DSP from Abstract Beauty 5 1/4″ x 4″. Layer that on the Basic Black card. Next, cut with your trimmer another DSP from Abstract Beauty 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ and also add a Basic Black cut 1/8″ larger. Adhere to the Basic Black with Stampin Seal Plus. Use Stampin Dimensionals to pop this layer off the card. Using trimmer cut a 5″ x 1 1/2″ Gold Foil strip and using Paper Snips trim the edges cutting first in middle of the ends up 1/2″ then trim from each end to center of cut to form a V. Die cut a Stitched So Sweetly Basic White Die cut and add the foil to the Die Cut. I did emboss the label before adding the foil. Use dimensionals to pop the embossed label off the card and add some brushed gems. I I love the layers on this card. Cut another Basic White card stock with your trimmer to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and add inside your card with a stamped greeting and a strip of DSP. I added this to the side as the Abstract Beauty is 4″ x 6″ so the strip was perfectly cut at 4″.
